I’m Moritz a Berlin based engineer, who loves to build and explore.

I’ve always been fascinated by how things work, whether it was taking apart my toys as a kid or tackling puzzles that required logical thinking. This curiosity led me to start learning C++ at the age of 13 — definitely not the easiest beginner language, but it gave me a strong foundation in how computers handle instructions and data.

As my interest in programming grew, I began experimenting with small websites and web apps, seeing firsthand how code could shape the online world. By the time I was 15, I decided to push my skills further and enrolled in my first university computer science course, where I dove into C and Java.

During my university years, I discovered a deep passion for low-level programming, drawn to how these systems worked under the hood. My first job out of school gave me an incredible range of hands-on experience: I soldered IoT devices to modernize old injection molding machines, built physical servers for VOIP telephony, and setting up the VOIP systems themselves — from configuring the software to placing the physical phones on desks.

Eventually, I moved into big tech, where I first gained valuable insights into cryptography and security. Later on, I worked on large-scale AI infrastructure building everything from ML libraries, online and offline training pipelines, feature stores as well as inference and monitoring systems. Essentially I worked on everything that we now call MLOps. This experience allowed me to see how cutting-edge machine learning systems can be developed, tested, and deployed to handle massive amounts of data.

Today, I'm working on my own projects, using both familiar tools and learning new ones along the way. I recently started my own company where I get to build useful things while continuing to learn and grow as a developer.
